Grilled Cheese Dippers & Tomato Soup

A classic combo kids love, inspired by the Feeding Littles Lunches cookbook.

 

Ingredients:

  • Butter
  • Whole wheat bread
  • Cheddar cheese slices
  • Tomato soup
  • Grapes or other fruit

 

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the OmieBox UP thermos.
  2. Butter the outside of two slices of bread and preheat a griddle or skillet over medium-low heat.
  3. Put one slice of bread butter side down, then top with 3 slices of cheese. Put the other slice of bread on top, butter side up.
  4. Cook until golden and crispy on both sides, flipping once the bottom is crisped, about 5 minutes per side.
  5. Heat the tomato soup until it's steaming, then pack in the thermos.
  6. Slice the grilled cheese into 4 strips, then pack in the side compartment of OmieBox UP (don't forget the ice pack underneath!).
  7. Use an OmieSnack container to send fresh fruit on the side.
