OmieBox UP Basics

Your OmieBox UP comes with a few basic parts to make packing lunches easy and fun:

• Thermos and securing insert - The thermos keeps food hot for up to 6 hours. The square piece that goes around it (the securing insert) is what keeps the thermos in place inside OmieBox UP, so that you don't have to remove the thermos from the box to open or close it.
• Lid seal - This silicone part is what makes OmieBox UP 100% leakproof! Make sure to install it before using OmieBox UP.
• Divider - Every OmieBox UP comes with one divider to keep foods separate in the rectangular side compartments. Got a picky eater? You can purchase additional dividers here, or use OmieBox UP Dip containers to separate foods inside OmieBox UP!
• Ice pack - OmieBox UP has an ice pack underneath one side of the tray. Stick it in your freezer so it's cold when you're ready to pack lunch.
• D-Ring and name tag - OmieBox UP comes with a silicone D-ring and name tag that you can write your child's name on with a Sharpie. You can also attach utensils and fun charms to the D-ring to customize your OmieBox UP!

Quick Tips For Getting Started

• Wash your OmieBox UP before using it for the first time - check out our video above for care tips!
• Install the lid seal - watch the setup video above to learn how
• Freeze the ice pack - find it underneath the inner tray!
• Preheat the thermos before packing hot food - learn how to do this, and what foods stay hot the longest, in the video linked above

OmieBox UP Do's and Don'ts

✅ DO:

• Preheat the thermos with boiling water before adding hot food
• Pack hot, liquid-based foods in the thermos - things like soup, saucy pasta, and chili will stay warm longer than solid foods like chicken nuggets and quesadillas
• Freeze the ice pack before packing cold sides
• Wash OmieBox UP daily, and don’t forget to remove the lid seal and gasket to clean and dry thoroughly!

❌ DON’T:

• Put OmieBox UP in the microwave
• Put certain parts in the dishwasher, including the thermos assembly, ice pack, lid seal, and gasket
• Try to pry open a stuck thermos lid! Email us at info@omielife.com for a replacement if it gets stuck.
